Apr. 24, 2024 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
This is our main recruiting effort for this Rotary Year. All Medicine Hat Rotarians are encouraged to attend with their partners even if they do not have a guest as a potential member. Several members have invited a number of guests and they need some support to help clarify all the great things we do as Rotarians. If nothing else it is a great opportunity to bring your partner for social evening with your fellow Rotary Club Members. |

The Program Committee of our Club has organized a visit to the Agriculture Discovery Centre of the Irvine School. Please join us! It is likely to be a fun, interesting outing! The Irvine School has about 380 students, from K to Grade 9. All are, to the extent they are able, involved in the Agri Discovery Centre. The Centre started in 2021, with livestock added and crops planted in 2022. It has a Board of Directors, all Irvine School students. The main purpose of the Centre, "A Place to Grow", is to interest students in careers in agriculture. TRANSPORT: Car pooling from the MH Lodge parking area, behind the Lodge DATE: Monday 26 August TIME: Leave the Lodge for Irvine at 11:30, after car pooling organized COST: Gas, if you drive your own car, and your own lunch PROGRAM: Nicole Neubauer will show us around the Agri Centre from 12:00 for about 45-60 minutes. We will then head for the Pub at the Irvine Hotel, ordering (and paying for!) whatever you would like, for lunch. As Ken Zollner has pointed out, there's a great museum in Irvine, so a visit in that direction could be fun, after enjoying lunch at the Pub. WHO IS INVITED? In addition to yourself, please register family and friends! They will be most welcome! |

Dear Rotarians YOU ARE INVITED TO A SOCIAL ON SUNDAY ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON! On Sunday 20 October, between 1 and 4pm, please join us at Jim Sodero's house (502 4th St. NE) to meet Beatriz (Bia) Murari Souza and Samara Esteves. They are both on Rotary programs: Bia on the New Generations Service Exchange program, and Samara on the Youth Exchange program. They are keen to meet Rotarians from all the Clubs in Medicine Hat,, and to share their stories with you, informally! You may not be able to spend three hours at the social, but please do swing by to greet them. Also, please kindly bring a plate of eats of some sort - cake, sweets, biscuits, chips + dip... Stan Sakamoto is kindly providing tea and coffee. If you'd prefer another beverage, please bring it, plus glasses! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday (please register), and hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving weekend! Margie Booyens |
