On this date, we will visit Saamis Immigration. We will have a tour around the new premises, an update on the services of the organization. Unfortunately new(ish) member Mihaela Craciun will not be able to give us her 'classification' talk as she has to be in Calgary on work-related business.

Homelessness is a topical and a complex issue. Our guest speakers will attempt to deepen our understanding of the causes, policies, programs, challenges, plans etc. related especially to homelessness in our city.

Dieter and Kitt have kindly opened their home for a special social for our newer members, on Monday 24 March. While relaxing and conversing, we will be listening to their thinking about Rotary and about the difference they would like to make - within the Club, in our community, and further afield.

We will be having our usual BUSINESS MEETING on the first Monday of April, namely the 7th.

Please attend with comments and questions for our Executive and our Directors-at-Large.

Our Club's PROJECT AND PROGRAM COMMITTEE meets for 45 minutes or less, straight after the noon meeting, on the first Monday of the month. Join in this meeting, to have your ideas heard!

On 14 April, we will have the pleasure of getting to know new member Odessa Vermee a bit better.

We may include a second classification talk that day. Watch this space!

From March, the Club's Program Committee (Jillian, Sharon, Alain, Margie) is meeting straight after the noon meeting, on the second Monday of the month.

Please join us, bringing family, friens and neighbours, to clean up Rotary Centennial Drive on Saturday 26 April, starting at 09:00am.

After doing the 'Litter Blitz', we will meet at the Medicine Hat Brewing Company, on Rotary Centennial Drive, for a much needed pint - and perhaps a bite to restore energy levels!

On the invitation of member Alain Guerard, Stewart Boxell will be our guest speaker on Monday 28 April, filling us in about Alcoholics Anonymous - it history, how it functions etc. 

This is our annual showcasing of Rotary to members, prospective members and friends of Rotary. All four clubs in Medicine Hat are playing a role - it is a joint venture! Please plan to attend. Tickets will be available soon - $50. Please bring guests who may be interested in joining the fabulous Rotary family.

This is the usual monthly meeting of the Club's Projects and Programs committee. If you have ideas, please join us and share them during this meeting!

We integrate relevant case study examples of businesses and organizational leaders that have been innovative in hiring individuals with disabilities, and how their operations have benefited from it."

Rotarian Dick Northcott and Deb Northcott will be addressing us on their experiences of working in Africa and on the whole issue of International Aid.

As you may be aware, Rotarian Odessa Vermee is the owner of Quilting Creations and Fabric at  902 Kingsway Ave. SE.  It is the one story brown building across the street from Mr Lube.

The store is moving, and she needs help packing up the bolts of cloth and other material, prior to the movers arriving on June 18th.

So, she is offering to buy lunch, if a few Rotarians would give up a couple of hours of their day on Tuesday June 17th, to help pack up the store.  I promise, it will be fun and it's a free lunch!

If you have time, please help her out.

For those who are not going to the RI Convention, here's an opportunity for Rotary fellowship

Please arrive by no later than 11:00 am.

The team will cook hot dogs and then serve condiments.  A minimum of 6 workers are needed.

The thinking is that 30 June, being the day before CANADA DAY, many may be away for a long weekend, or busy entertaining family and friends. So no club meeting. Let our members focus on the community, family and friends on that day and have wonderful celebrations!

(2) Member Alain Guerard will address the club on "Logistics challenges for international charitable organizations". He will draw on his recent personal experiences in this field.

This is our annual meeting in Rotary Park on Maple Ave, the Monday of Stampede week!

Please bring a chair, a 'brown bag' lunch for yourself, a hat ... AND a guest or two!

There will not be a formal meeting. It will be a great time to socialize in the shade of the trees, in a park that our Club was instrumental in establishing, in the early 1930s!

Sidney George Koopmans (George) is the Chaplain at the Medicine Hat College.

On the invitation of Rotarian Dick Bide, George will address us on his work at the College, in particular how he promotes the inclusion of students from other countries.

On August 11, we will have the pleasure of another 'classification' talk. Lesley Tuchs will be introducing herself to the club.

In addition, Myrna Stark will address us on the FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME (FAS) and the organization that works in this field.

Members, this is your opportunity to get feedback from Board members on what they've been up to. It also provides a forum in which any Club related issues or concerns can be raised. Positive feedback is of course also welcome!

On September 15, e will have the pleasure of the company of Lisa Dressler, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce. Lisa will address us on the activities, challenges and plans of the Chamber.
