Please join us, bringing family, friens and neighbours, to clean up Rotary Centennial Drive on Saturday 26 April, starting at 09:00am.

After doing the 'Litter Blitz', we will meet at the Medicine Hat Brewing Company, on Rotary Centennial Drive, for a much needed pint - and perhaps a bite to restore energy levels!

On the invitation of member Alain Guerard, Stewart Boxell will be our guest speaker on Monday 28 April, filling us in about Alcoholics Anonymous - it history, how it functions etc. 

This is our annual showcasing of Rotary to members, prospective members and friends of Rotary. All four clubs in Medicine Hat are playing a role - it is a joint venture! Please plan to attend. Tickets will be available soon - $50. Please bring guests who may be interested in joining the fabulous Rotary family.

This is the usual monthly meeting of the Club's Projects and Programs committee. If you have ideas, please join us and share them during this meeting!

"Our presentation focuses on the concept of inclusive employment and how to factor diversity, equity and inclusion into your workplace through a lens of supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in Canada.

We discuss common ways to accommodate individuals with disabilities in the workplace, as well as the competitive advantage of having diverse hiring practices and promoting inclusion.

We integrate relevant case study examples of businesses and organizational leaders that have been innovative in hiring individuals with disabilities, and how their operations have benefited from it."

Rotarian Dick Northcott and Deb Northcott will be addressing us on their experiences of working in Africa and on the whole issue of International Aid.

As you may be aware, Rotarian Odessa Vermee is the owner of Quilting Creations and Fabric at  902 Kingsway Ave. SE.  It is the one story brown building across the street from Mr Lube.

The store is moving, and she needs help packing up the bolts of cloth and other material, prior to the movers arriving on June 18th.

So, she is offering to buy lunch, if a few Rotarians would give up a couple of hours of their day on Tuesday June 17th, to help pack up the store.  I promise, it will be fun and it's a free lunch!

If you have time, please help her out.

For those who are not going to the RI Convention, here's an opportunity for Rotary fellowship

Please arrive by no later than 11:00 am.

The team will cook hot dogs and then serve condiments.  A minimum of 6 workers are needed.

The thinking is that 30 June, being the day before CANADA DAY, many may be away for a long weekend, or busy entertaining family and friends. So no club meeting. Let our members focus on the community, family and friends on that day and have wonderful celebrations!

(1) Mihaela Crucin will introduce herself to members, being a relatively new member

(2) Member Alain Guerard will address the club on "Logistics challenges for international charitable organizations". He will draw on his recent personal experiences in this field.

This is our annual meeting in Rotary Park on Maple Ave, the Monday of Stampede week!

Please bring a chair, a 'brown bag' lunch for yourself, a hat ... AND a guest or two!

There will not be a formal meeting. It will be a great time to socialize in the shade of the trees, in a park that our Club was instrumental in establishing, in the early 1930s!

Anjali Mishra was born and raised in Medicine Hat. She served on the MH High School's Interact Club for three years, in the role of President of the Interact Club in 2017.

She was an active participant in the Rotary Music Festival over the years and in 2017 worn the Rosebowl for Speech.

After leaving Medicine Hat to pursue a Bachelor of Arts at the University of BC, Anjali continued to engage in service-oriented roles across the public, not-for-profit and private sectors.

Anjali has a special interest in supporting those who have been forcibly displaced, the interest having developed during the times she lived alongside asylum seekers in Vancourver, Ottawa and Toronto.

Most recently, Anjali served as a refugee caseworker in Cairo, Egypt, supporting unaccompanied children and youth.

Anjali is excited to have been invited by President Milan to address our club on July 28. She looks forward to sharing experiences and insights from her work abroad.

The first Monday of September is a holiday, so the Club's monthly business meeting will be held on Monday 8 September. 

Members, this is your opportunity to get feedback from Board members on what they've been up to. It also provides a forum in which any Club related issues or concerns can be raised. Positive feedback is of course also welcome!

On September 15, we will have the pleasure of the company of our 2025-2026 District Governor, Manon Mitchell.

Please make every attempt to attend this important meeting, during which DG Manon will get to know our Club first hand and will share information about District 5360 and about what she hopes to achieve during her year in the 'hot seat'.
