Club President Chris Perret and Treasurer Gail Halderman provided an overview of the Club's financial picture and announced the fees for this Rotary year. For 2018 - 2019 the fees will remain the same at $230/person. The presentation stressed the "avenues of service" for Rotary, and showed the cash flow of the club over the next few years.
There were a number of questions addressed to both Gail and Chris;
Dave Panabaker asked about the figures related to the Music Festival and the annual output from the Community Foundation endowment.
Dave Stalwick asked about the cost of the Rotary Centennial trails project, and whether the approval level of the Board ($1,000) had changed.
Jay Chesley asked about the presentation, and had questions about the actual budget presentation.
Wayne Chesley asked questions about the presentation as well.
As part of the debate, President Chris noted that a copy of the detailed budget, broken down by the Directorships of the club would be available on the club website.
After some debate, a motion was made by Gail Halderman, seconded by Roger Roy to approve the 2018 - 2019 Budget, and to set the annual fees at $230. That motion was passed by a majority of the Rotarians present.

Minute People:
Dave Stalwick did a minute on the upcoming bingo, Sunday afternoon August 26. If you haven't done a bingo in a while, please consider helping out.
Dave Panabaker did a minute, advising that shelves have been installed in the club Sea-Can, and clipboards are available for sign-out of club displays in the MH Lodge storage room.
Dick Bide did a minute promoting the dinner club, and advised that a smaller number of guest (4) option was available, please just note it on your sign up.
Shann Snedden put the club on notice that drivers will be required for the 3 students going to RYPEN in September. The outbound trip is Thursday, Sept 20, to arrive at SABC, Lomond at 3:00 pm and the pickup will be Sunday Sept 23, at approx 11 am. Please advise Shann if you can help.
Wayne Chesley provided the following invitation from the Rotary Club of Pincher Creek. The RSVP date has been changed to September 2nd. With "mystery wine" involved, it would be great to send a car load, if anyone is interested.
PP Karen mentioned that an option for the club to attend a Rosebud theater performance would be to jump aboard a Prairie Sprinter bus. They are taking a group on Wed Oct 3rd, at $99 +GST which from our calculations is pretty reasonable. Check out the attached link if you are interested.
