President's Message
President's Remarks:

President Karen welcomed everyone to our last meeting of this Rotary year, and her last "official" meeting acting as President.  She encouraged all the club members to check the Twitter/Facebook updates that Chris Perret has been providing from the Rotary International Convention in Toronto.

Karen spoke about the accomplishments of the club this year, following closely the club Strategic Plan done several years ago.  Things such as a new sound system, the update of the Rotary Branding at meetings, and shortened lunch meetings have all contributed to a new atmosphere at our noon meetings.  As well, she spoke about the Rotary Impact Assessments, which impressed the Rotary International President at our Centennial celebration and provide some evidence of the impact of Rotary in the community over the past 100 years.

Karen also spoke about some of our 16 Community events this year, including our Christmas Stocking delivery, Random Acts of Kindness, the Salvation Army kettles and other fun things. She also spoke about the monthly business meetings, and the quarterly meetings held with other local club Presidents and President-elects.

A copy of Karen's presentation is available to all club members as a downloadable document, from the club website.
