President Bruce and the "Why Rotary" event team will run a preparation meeting for our event on the evening of Wednesday April 24th.

This is our main recruiting effort for this Rotary Year.  All Medicine Hat Rotarians are encouraged to attend with their partners even if they do not have a guest as a potential member.  Several members have invited a number of guests and they need some support to help clarify all the great things we do as Rotarians.

If nothing else it is a great opportunity to bring your partner for social evening with your fellow Rotary Club Members.

Our annual visit to Medicine Hat High School, to meet the Rotary Interact club and learn how their year has gone.

This is a partners event, and is always a lot of fun.  The meal is $25.00/person, and there will be a silent auction.

The Program Committee of our Club has organized a visit to the Agriculture Discovery Centre of the Irvine School. Please join us! It is likely to be a fun, interesting outing!

The Irvine School has about 380 students, from K to Grade 9. All are, to the extent they are able, involved in the Agri Discovery Centre.

The Centre started in 2021, with livestock added and crops planted in 2022. It has a Board of Directors, all Irvine School students.

The main purpose of the Centre, "A Place to Grow", is to interest students in careers in agriculture.

TRANSPORT: Car pooling from the MH Lodge parking area, behind the Lodge

DATE: Monday 26 August

TIME: Leave the Lodge for Irvine at 11:30, after car pooling organized

COST: Gas, if you drive your own car, and your own lunch

PROGRAM: Nicole Neubauer will show us around the Agri Centre from 12:00 for about 45-60 minutes. We will then head for the Pub at the Irvine Hotel, ordering (and paying for!) whatever you would like, for lunch. As Ken Zollner has pointed out, there's a great museum in Irvine, so a visit in that direction could be fun, after enjoying lunch at the Pub.

WHO IS INVITED? In addition to yourself, please register family and friends! They will be most welcome!
