Family of Rotary:
  • The club sends it's best wishes to Joan Sauve, who is recovered from a fall.  We send her our thoughts and prayers as she gets better.
Minute People:
  • Allan O'Byrne, President of the Rotary Music Festival Society Board reminded all club members that the AGM for the Society will be Monday October 28, immediately after a shortened Rotary Club meeting.  There are several positions on the Music Festival Society Board that will need filling for 2019 - 2020, please contact Allan if you would like a chance to serve on this board.
  • Sandy Mackay reminded the club that World Polio Day is Thursday Oct 24, and he is looking for help in running an "End Polio" event that evening.  It is likely that MH HIgh Interact kids will do a "purple pinkie" promotion again, to raise funds for the End Polio campaign.
  • Dave Panabaker reminded everyone that there is no meeting next week, with the Thanksgiving holiday, and if you plan to visit the MH Sunrise club on Tuesday AM, please register on line so they have an accurate headcount for the room setup and Chinook Village staff.
  • Dave also advised that the bingo on Saturday had a profit of $930.18 and Dick Bide won the guess pot.  Thanks to all the volunteers!
