Club Draw:
  • No winner this week, but a number of interesting garage sale items were purchased as Club Draw prizes.

  • Doug Fleming mentioned that the Saamis Rotary Club is having a "Cheer for a Year" draw this fall, tickets are available from the Rafflebox website.
  • Dave Panabaker thanked those that has responded, and advised that our September 28th meeting at the Medicine Hat Lodge will "try out" a plated meal, in this case Chicken Parmesan.  The meal will be $25.00 and invitations are going out early this week....please respond so we have enough meals for those that wish to eat.
  • Gregg Martin was looking for additional bingo workers for our next bingo on Friday evening, September 25th.  If you can help please get in touch with Gregg.
  • Kitt Brand mentioned that she is working on the logistics and feasibility of a youth reading program in conjunction with Saamis Immigration and the MH Public Library.  A possible "investment" by Rotary in the community in the future, if all goes well.
  • Kitt also mentioned that she attended the "virtual" Peace Park Assembly on Saturday from 2 - 4.  A great set of presentations.
  • Dave Panabaker also mentioned that the annual District Grant qualification webinar is happening on Saturday October 17, from 9 am to noon.  Please register on the District website, the link is https://rotary5360.ca/event/club-learning-webinar-2

  • It was great to see Doug Thorson at the ZOOM meeting today, as he recovers from back surgery.
