Today's meeting was chaired by Treasurer Gail Halderman. Gail thanked Dieter and Kitt Brand for hosting a very successful Fireside Chat for new members on Friday, February 21. He also thanked those who sold Club 1000 tickets at the Mall and at the Tiger's Hockey game on Saturday, February 22.
Program:
Gail presented members with a presentation on where the Club's current income and expenses are at in this Rotary year.
Mike Christie presented his idea about the Rotary Club hosting a public event as a potential future fundraiser for the Club. This could involve hosting a speaker-series type of event focused on an issue of public interest, similar in concept to what the Kiwanis Club has done in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce on the State of the City Address by the Mayor. Further information on Mike's concept can be found in the attached link: https://portal.clubrunner.ca/967/Documents/en-ca/db0b72f0-d89b-4e8f-9256-2d241a467aa3/1/
