This week's meeting is the first official meeting led our new president Melanie Hardy.
Today she asked members to think about their answers to four questions.
1. Why did you join Rotary?
2. Why did you join this club?
3. If you could waive a magic wand, what would you change?
4. What are you going to do to help with our clubs success?
All Rotarians at the meeting plus all that are unable to attend are asked to complete the questionnaire and return it to Melanie.
As we go forward we must proceed in "shared leadership". We all need to do our share in making our club better through our individual efforts.
Melanie had several volunteers to share their answers to the 4 questions.
The actual budget will be available at a later meeting.
The high level considerations for the 2022/23 budget included the following:
The budget and strategic plan will be reviewed with the club on a quarterly basis.
The budget must consider the cost of our meetings, meals, Zoom, and how these factors play a part of the annual dues required to support them.
Actual dues are expected to increase by $25.00 to $275.00 annually.
Can our meeting be less traditional by having meetings with a meal, no meal, at alternate locations and zoom.
Projects currently approved are the Music Festival, Prairie Gleaners, Sanare Center, signage for the Rotary trail as well as the upcoming Olympics for the disabled.
Funding for our projects are now coming from Bingo, Casinos, raffle tickets. We need to source new revenue sources which allows us to work smarter not harder.
