President Melanie Harty led the club through our monthly business meeting. Several of the Executive and Directors, presented updates and information for the club. President-elect Bruce Shepard provided a heads-up on the Strategic Plan work, which the Board has been reviewing.
PE Bruce spoke about the need for an effective plan, for having a "Vision" that was easy to remember and understand. He encouraged all members to read the document when it was released next month and provide feedback, perspective and advise.
He also spoke about the need for targets, for steps to work toward goals and having measurements. Because usually what "gets measured, gets done".
Club Secretary Doug Fleming has been hard at work at compiling and updating our list of historical projects. He had copies for the table, and the list is impressively long. A copy will be placed in our Club Documents section of Clubrunner when it is complete.
Membership and Community Service Director, Mike Christie spoke about recent meetings and updated all of us on our Community Service projects.
Terry Cooper, Director of International Service spoke about the delays in the 3D limbs project that we are contributing to in Sri Lanka. He also spoke about the great work by Team Freewheel and our bike donations.
