President Terry Partis started the meeting by apologizing for not turning up for last week's ZOOM meeting. He was maneuvering through the Kingston Locks, and needed to listen to the Lockmaster and not search out a WiFi signal
Terry began by reminding all of us of the value of the Rotary Learning Center, on "MyRotary". He provided a short video showing how Rotary impacted RI Director-elect Nicki Scott from the Rotary Club of North Cotswolds, England, and what she has done with that impact. There is some amazing stuff on the RI website and MyRotary..check it out
Terry also reminded everyone that those interested in applying for, or understanding the District Grant process need to set aside the morning of Saturday October 16th. The District Grant qualification webinar is that morning, from 9 am to noon. Register in advance at this link https://rotary5360.ca/event/grants-qualification-workshop One person from the club must attend to qualify us for grants next year.
On the "Move for Polio" front, Terry advised that our club is currently ranked 2nd in the District for contributions with a total of $3,475 donated. Several checks are heading into District to add to our total so he is hopeful that a much larger total will be posted prior to next week's meeting.
