President's Information
President's Remarks:
It is Rotary Foundation month, and our club Foundation Chair Sandy Mackay took the podium for this meeting.  After getting the microphone working, Sandy started the meeting with a decisive ring of the bell and passed along the following information.
Because it is Foundation month, today's program was information about the Foundation, about it's excellent reputation and how to make a donation to the Foundation.  PDG Sandy, Club Treasurer Doug Fleming and AG Dave Panabaker spoke about the value of the Foundation, why as a Rotarian you should be proud of the reputation of the Foundation and it's financial position and that it really recycles our money back to clubs to invest in "Doing Good in the World".  Much more information is available at and donations are easily done at .
Sandy also mentioned that every Rotarian should have received an email from District titled "People of Action".  If you read that email to the bottom you may recognize a number of local Rotarians, as the events of our World Polio Day, and the MH High School Interact club are highlighted.
President Margie wanted to pass along the Christmas Coffee Order from Sunrise Rotary Club.  Please submit your orders to les Scholly ( ) by December 2nd, so the order can be placed and delivered the week of December 16th.  The cost of this "special coffee" is $9.00 for a 1/2 pound bag (ground) and $17.00 for a pound bag (whole bean).
President Margie also wanted to pass on the online source for Rotary "bling", which is CRS Marketing.  They now have a comprehensive website, so if you are looking for gifts or something for yourself, check them out at .
Rotary Club Membership Update:
It was a pleasure to induct and welcome Shalla Shaharyar into the Rotary Club today.  Shalla is employed at the Medicine Hat College and was sponsored by Ken Feser.  Shalla was inducted by Past President Dawn Barr and President Margie Booyens.
