It was a business meeting at the Rotary Club today. President Melanie Harty has been running regular business meetings for communication with the club members and for introducing new ideas. One of those ideas is the idea of a smaller, less expensive lunch. Although the sandwich's today were generously filled, they do need a little fine tuning.
Melanie spoke about the need to do a few things differently, and wants to make sure that everyone has the opportunity for comment and input as we go forward with our strategic plan and some changes.
Mike Christie spoke about his two directorships, both membership where we are hopeful that our newest member, Alain Guerard will be joined by one or two more in the near future. He also talked about Community Service, and took a few questions. He also mentioned that although Highway Cleanup is officially on May 6th, because of the conflict with District Conference our club will work on our roadway and trail at another time. He also indicated that discussions are ongoing with the Stampede Organization regarding cake cutting on Canada Day.
PE Bruce Shepard reminded everyone that the discussion on the new Strategic Plan will be the business meeting on May 1st, which will be on ZOOM. He issued a "last call" for comments and suggestions, and invited everyone to review it in advance of that meeting.
