President Chris Perret welcomed everyone to this meeting, which has a great deal of Rotary Business to transact.
MEMBERSHIP NOTICE:
The Rotary Club was delighted to welcome Lisa DesRoches as our newest member, she was inducted by Dave Panabaker, and President Chris Perret. She was introduced by her sponsor, PE Margie Booyens and her mentor is Melanie Harty. A warm welcome to Lisa.
The Rotary Club also made Dan Kammerer, a transfer from the Medicine Hat Sunrise club an "official" member of our club. Welcome to Dan!
ROTARY AWARDS
PDG Sandy Mackay was pleased to present Paul Harris Fellowships to Krista Lawson and Ken Feser, as the newest members of our 100% PHF club. As well Sandy presented Terry Brekko with an updated Paul Harris pin to reflect his ongoing support of the Rotary Foundation.

- FINANCIAL MOTION APPROVAL
Club Treasurer Gail Halderman, on behalf of Director of International Service Teresa Schile, read out the following motions of financial spending, for two projects.
- "Move that the Rotary Club of Medicine Hat approve $2,500 towards the Sri Lankan project "Make them smile with a new set of teeth", and apply for a District Grant for $7,500, to fund the total expenditure of $10,000. Moved by Gail, seconded by Wayne Chesley and approved unanimously.
- "Move that the Rotary Club of Medicine Hat approve $2,000 for the Pillar sponsorship for Canadian Humanitarian, Hues for Humanity color run on June 8, 2019. Moved by Gail, seconded by Dave Panabaker, and approved unanimously.
- Upcoming meetings:
- On Wednesday April 17, the Rotary Board meeting will take place at the Cypress Club, starting at 7:30 pm. All members are invited to attend.
- On Monday April 22, there will be NO MEETING as it is Easter Monday.
- On Monday April 29, it will be an evening meeting, beginning at 5:30 for drinks and 6:00 pm for dinner. The meeting will take place in the Crowfoot Room at the MH College and will celebrate our Rosebowl winner, Laec Sorrenstan.
- Also, notice was given that the annual evening dinner with the MHHS Interact club will be Monday May 27th.
- Housekeeping:
- Please bring auction items. It is an important part of our meeting.

Upcoming Rotary Events:
- Rotary District 5360 Convention, May 3 - 5, 2019 in Olds, AB. DG Dan is proposing a different and exciting district conference, so members are encouraged to register. So far it looks like 5 members are planning to attend.
- Rotary International Conference in Hamburg Germany in June 2019
